This worked perfect for a recent tractor project. I used this to trace back from a rotor to the coil to the ignition. I found the faulty wire and was running in no time, saved me hours of testing each wire for a break. Comes with clear instructions for those that have not used a test light before. Compact design doesn’t take up much room in the tool box or hanging off the peg board.

It works as a normal test light/voltage tester, it can also be used as a logic probe. With this you can track down parasitic draw that is draining the battery while the vehicle is parked. You can find key on engine on/off circuits and it will isolate positive and negative. It is accurate when used as a simple volt meter. Has audible and visual indicators, as well as a digital readout. I find the cables sufficiently long for working in the engine bay. If you need to go inside the cabin, simply connect a set of jumper cables, or other such wire to the battery and this test probe to the cables. I love this probe. Excellent device for a very reasonable cost. 5 stars!

Decent tester overall for tracking down power and ground wiring on a vehicle.
You can get a lot more info using this as compared to a simple ‘light’ type tester that only shows where power is at. It will show you voltage, ground, and anything between. Was easier to use than a multi meter.
The battery clamps held fine, however the cable is not very long so was mainly limited to doing things under the hood. I wish that there were longer leads (or even a cigarette lighter adapter) to use for probing wiring in the dash. Still a very useful tool that helped me probe various wires and fuses to map out where I could wire in some dashcams.

This Multifunctional Circuit Probe Tester! It’s made checking my car’s electrical systems so much easier. It can do lots of different tests, like checking voltage, connections, and even testing sensors. I don’t need any extra tools because it does everything I need. The lights and LCD screen make it easy to understand the results, and I like that it has an alarm to let me know if something’s wrong. Plus, it’s safe to use with my car’s computer, so I don’t have to worry about damaging anything. Overall, it’s a really good tester and I’m very satisfied with it!

This multi function tester arrived packaged well and was as described. This multi function tester or a power probe as many may refer to it works well.
First the basics the pig tail is curled tight, but does stretch out very well. The probe portion is very sharp, which aids in probing without damage, or breaking out a razor. The settings are easily changed from the push of a button and the led bar lets you know exactly what setting you are at. It also has a light at the tip assisting in probing the correct wire. Both power and negative ground clamps hold tight, on the pigtail itself is a cover for the probe tip when not in use, this way it keeps the point nice and sharp.
I typically use this style product to chase down shorts(open wires), test circuits, power up a wire or ground it, to check for power/ground, I use it for quick draw checks to identify possible culprits, before bringing out a fluke. The list goes on, in modern cars it is a tool that comes in very handy and aids in speeding up diagnosis.
I ran it through a series of tests and it worked without issue. This multi function tool is a good value and it does include instructions in the event you are not familiar with operating one. Overall a well made product that will get used a lot on car electric diagnosis and it will save you time.

This tool is a bit unusual in that you need to connect both alligator clips to the battery before it will do anything. I had expected that connecting the ground and the probe would give a reading but it does not. To get battery voltage you need to connect both positive and ground clips, then touch the probe to the positive terminal. Other than that, it is a sturdily made tester with more capability than a typical battery test tool.

I’ve had issues with my car lately and brought it in to be serviced at the dealership. They claimed they fixed the issue and my car would be fine.
A week later, when I’m ready to drive my car, it doesn’t turn on or start even a little. I called the dealership for them to tow my car or send someone to help me. They said I’d have to do it through my insurance or pay their tow truck service! What in the world??
So I ordered this because I wanted to be sure before I give the service people an earful that my battery was the problem.
This was easy to use and helped me figure out that my voltage was too low to boost and needed a new battery. Why couldn’t service at the dealership figure that out???
Luckily I called another dealership who sent someone with a new battery and confirmed what I suspected.
I recommend having this tool with you.
