Bill Long –
Totally pleased with the meter. It appears to be well made, was calibrated to within a volt as compared to my digital VM and the suprize of finding that it is back lit from a 12 volt source. The lighting could be just a little brighter if you were interested in a lot of night viewing, but I like it because it looks really cool in my cabin when the lights are down.

This is a nice well built meter and does what it should with AC voltage. It also doesn’t need any other components and can be directly connected to the AC line. The only problem is the back light is way too dim. The meter gives you a choice between 12 and 24 VDC input for lighting. I tried both and all I got was a dim green glow which wasn’t enough to read the dial without external lighting. I mounted the meter in a homemade enclosure for a Variac and didn’t really need the meter light. If you are looking for a meter with built in lighting, this one isn’t for you. It works very well as an AC voltage meter. Bit pricey though.

A high quality gauge that does what it’s supposed to. What more could you want?
