This worked for my 2001 jeep grand Cherokee. It was different in appearance, with the resistor having a larger cooling area than the original. My heater fan had started to fail at times. When I removed the old resistor, the wiring harness had started to Melt to the resistor. No problems with Polarity as mentioned with some of the other reviews. total install time took ~ 45 minutes.
