The SIHOOPE Black Trim Restorer works great and is easy to apply. It gives the plastic trim a nice black sheen and it dries to the touch. It doesn’t take a lot of product. . . a little dab will do. Don’t over apply. Just rub it in on that clean trim and you’re done. It’s quick and easy. I can’t speak on the longevity of the shine yet, but initial results look good.

The product covered okay, but the product is thick and doesn’t spread very far, needing more and more product to cover the area. I used half a bottle, which I feel is not worth the cost for the amount of area it covered.

Applied to my older Land Rover Discovery, this product effectively revived sun-damaged areas. Comparing pre- and post-treatment photos reveals a striking difference. While application requires patience to avoid streaks, the product is ultimately a worthwhile purchase.

This restorer helped the plastic on my truck, but not as well as I hoped. It is easy to apply. It did make the parts look better, but not great.
BOTnot –
You get the bottle, foam applicator and an instruction manual in a plain brown box. Be aware, there are no usage instructions on the bottle, so if you want to maintain the instructions, keep them with the bottle!
Using it was surprisingly easy (not sure why I was expecting it to be harder). I could make fairly precise application of the liquid by applying it to the edge of the included applicator and for the most part was able to keep it off of the parts I did not. I started with edges and did the middle space later. If you need to get into small/tight spaces, consider getting some of the small applicator pads with a tiny handle. Be aware, I went modestly on the coverage; my plastic didn’t seem to like overapplication of liquid by not soaking into the surface. Even my pretty modest application made the plastic a uniform color and moderately shiny finish afterwards.
For me, I figured I covered approximately 4 to 5 square feet of space, I used roughly 20% of the 4-ounce bottle. It took me about 10 minutes, but I was trying to be extra careful and I’m sure would do it much faster the 2nd time!
Be aware that the instructions say it has a 24-hour cure time, and you should keep the area protected from “direct sunlight, dust, water and contamination.” Not sure what the consequences are if you do not follow this. Depending on where you live and lifestyle this may be hard to do. I was not able to follow this fully as the application was on the outside of my car and I didn’t have a garage.
Directions do not say much about precautions or cleanup if you get the product where you don’t want such as getting it on your hands or other finishes that you don’t want it on. I wore gloves, though a couple of the pictures in the amazon product description show application without gloves; if you apply much, the liquid will begin to soak through the applicator and onto your hands though – so don’t over apply (even with gloves the black liquid will start getting on your gloves which you can then touch other things with). I kept paper towels and if I got anything on the paint surface, I just wiped it off quickly and easily. I also kept a piece of cardboard on my driveway below the work area. If the entire bottled spilled onto something, or if you spilled it onto a rough surface (like driveway), I’m not sure what would be the remedy would be to clean it up.
Afterwards, I rinsed my applicator in water in a utility sink because I figured I would need it again and I liked the pad quite well. It cleaned up well and easily with water.
