Received my order and box was opened already at both ends. Was not happy about this. You pay money for product and expect your order to be delivered in tact. Orders that go to customers should be delivered like new not used.

The product has to be applied VERY lightly or it will clump up. Apply a LIGHT layer, let it totally dry (about 24 hours), apply a second VERY light layer, let it totally dry…repeat if necessary.

After my cat decided my leather sofa arm was a scratching post, I needed a quick fix without spending hundreds on professional repair. This leather kit saved the day! The color matching process was easier than expected – just mixed a few drops from different colors until I found the perfect match for my dark brown couch. The instructions were clear enough altho I did watch a quick youtube video for extra help. Application was straightforward using the little spatula tool included, but def practice on a hidden area first – my initial attempt was a bit too thick. The compound dried pretty quick (about an hour before I could touch it, overnight before sitting normally). The repair is not 100% invisible if youre looking super close, but from normal sitting distance you cant tell at all. The kit has a ton of supplies – ive done 3 different repairs and barely made a dent in the bottles. One thing to note is that the repair area feels slightly different to touch than the original leather – a bit stiffer but not noticeable when sitting. The patch has held up well for about a month now even with daily use. One downside is the smell while applying – pretty strong chemical odor so open windows are a must. The backing fabric was a bit tricky to position but really helps strengthen the repair. Would definitely recommend for small to medium sized damage – saved me hundreds compared to professional repair! My husband was skeptical but even he was impressed with the results. Just be patient when mixing colors and applying thin layers – rushing will give you obvious results.

I followed the directions and I’m very pleased with the results. Our cat decided to claw the recliner so we had small pinpricks, rips that were up to an inch long, and one section of missing leather that was about 2-3 square inches. I didn’t use the backing fabric because the tears didn’t go through the existing backing. After applying 3 very thin coatings, the damage is hardly noticeable. The biggest reason you can tell is that there is no grain to the area I repaired. The pinpricks where claws stuck in the leather are completely gone and invisible. I only used about half of a black tube and two came -in the box, along with a white tube, which I didn’t need. The black happened to be a perfect match for my Lazy-Boy. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

Have a nearly 20 year old Sedan with black leather, several spots of dried out cracking and peeling from the sun on the steering wheel, and seat tears in the drivers seat from use. Figured I would try this, never tried to patch leather before. The application was really easy, I decided to use a thin layer and than wait a day and apply another for around 4 days(remember to clean area first). After these applications the result was a bit rough feeling and a little tacky, the color was a close match thou except my leather was more faded. The instructions recommended using rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs to smooth it out, I had isopropyl alcohol and some cotton balls. The result was a little smoothed out texture and the glossiness of the patch was dulled out and made a much better match to my leather.
The end result was a great improvement over the dried cracked mess I had. It does not look and feel perfect, but I am happy with the results. I cannot attest the longevity or durability of the product as I just used it, but it does feel rubbery and flexible.

My nephew damaged my mom’s favorite chair and she was worried about having to pay to repair but the damage was small and when I saw this I figured I could give it a try. Luckily the area damaged didn’t have texture and was smooth. I cleaned up the section and removed the slip edges and made consistent. Filled it with some soft mesh fabric she had and applied the compound. Smoothed it evenly and let it dry and looks literally as good as new. Works great, but do take the time to match the color, that actually the longest part for me, but it worked out perfectly afterwards.
