This little kit seems to have everything you need to fix rips or scratches in black leather and vinyl. I am impressed with the detailed directions and Q and A. There are photos included of each step plus a separate set of directions on how to get the right color match. They even address how to get a matte or shiny finish to match what you’re fixing.

Easy, well-made kit, but I’m slightly disappointed with the results.
This kit was instructive, clear, and simple. The chair looks much better with 4-5 coats of repair material, but it would require many more coats to achieve an even surface. This product would likely work well for stiffer vinyl surfaces like maybe a dashboard, but not as well for furniture.
I’d use caution if using on a dashboard since that environment goes through such extreme environmental conditions and high UV exposure.
For me, this product was better than nothing.

The product the instructions were simple to use. I had a large cut on the drivers seat of the car so the results may be different. The hole is sealed but it doesn’t look so great. I would recommend putting the product only on the separated piece of the hole for better results.

I used this on my faux leather couch that had some cat scratches on the arm. I did not have to use the white color to lighten the black as the black alone was a perfect match. I wish I took before pictures because you really cannot tell the scratches were ever there. I will say that I did two applications and waited a full 24 hours between applications.

I followed instructions exactly and the patch, which I even used a hot glue gun to ensure it stayed in place, ended up coming off within two days.

This product is easy to use and does a good job giving me a second chance (and probably more) to wear or use an item that was damaged. I applied this product on a boot that I accidentally snagged on the bottom of my desk and put two noticeable surface rips on top of. After applying one layer of the mixture, I saw improvement but could still see hints of the damage. After letting it dry, I applied another layer, and the rips were no longer as apparent; my boot looked like a regular worn boot not a ripped one, which is what I was hoping for. The kit contained everything that is needed, and the directions and illustrations were easy to follow.

I have a soft black leather jacket, which somehow was torn a little more than 1/4″ in a triangular shape.
This kit comes with 2 black tubes of product and one white tube, with a smoothing spatula and a small brush. It also contains a larger white backing material for larger tears.
I applied this and it was pretty much dry the next day. I also applied a small amount of backing material under the torn section just below the right elbow of the jacket.
The trick, to this, is not to worry too much about smearing the product with the spatula, but to apply it gradually and lightly smooth it out, then leave it to dry.
It is important to realize that you can apply multiple fixes over the course of a few days. I waited until the next day and the product had sunk (a little) where the tear was, but around that area it matched 99 percent with my black jacket. I then applied a small amount more of the product, where it had sunk into the tear and if needed, I’ll do it again tomorrow. The important thing is to be patient and take your time with the repairs. In this way you will get the best results.
You can mix the white with the black in a small container (which is supplied), but all my repairs are with black to black, at this point, so I don’t know anything about how well this matches with lighter leather.
I’ll update this once the final application has been applied and dries, but so far, I am very happy with the product.
