It’s nice, but like others not compatible with my model despite Amazon saying it is. When attempting to fit in it’s appropriate spot, the little plastic nub is not in the correct spot for it to fit in the small hole in the jeep metal. For mine it is on top, where as this and other models ore on the left side. Disappointed that I struck out twice now…

So I checked out quite a few of these covers before I purchased this one. They are all the same, just branded with different names and sold by different sellers.
I was aware of the reviews that they are all slightly loose after installation and also that they didn’t quite fit completely snug to the body panel. A friend of mine has a fuel cap cover and it fit that description, slightly loose as in you can twist it very slightly and there was a small gap in one spot where it sits up against the body panel. However both of those negatives really are minimal and nitpicking, so I purchased one anyway.
I went with this Fuel cap cover because it was the cheapest. The Factory cover has a little plastic stud that lines it up in the correct orientation. The whole for that stud was drilled in the 12 o’clock position on my Jeep. The same stud on this new Cap was in the 9 o’clock position. Kind of annoying but no big deal. I marked out and drilled a new hole in the 9 o’clock position. I drilled the hole smaller than the factory hole basically to match the exact size of the stud on the new fuel cap. Once I popped the new cover in place, (all that holds it in are plastic clips that spring out once it goes past the body panel), it fit very snug and had zero twist movement because of the stud hole not being too big. It also fits snug against the body without any gaps.
You will see the gasket is a pain to install but it is manageable if you put the gasket on the new fuel cap first and then push the filler tube through it.
To sum it up, I would buy this particular cap again and again over the other ones because it was the least expensive compared to the other ones that looked exactly the same and were made of the exact same material.

I purchased one like this for Christmas for my girlfriend’s jeep. The last one would never lineup correctly and was loose on the side of the jeep which drove me crazy. I would always continue to mess with it and try to get it right one day I just broke it And ordered one. This one popped right in and fits tied up against the body of the jeep. Love it and also she is happy happy girlfriend/wife. Happy life.

The item was very loose once installed on my Jeep. You could turn and move it quite a bit. Initially thought I was missing hardware. Ended up having to rig up something to make it more secure. Directions are not as helpful as they could be, (just b&w illustrations) ended up finding a YouTube video to help.

Easy to install took about 30 minutes . Snaps in easy and very durable. Have had it on for about a year .Still looks good and color has not faded at all .
