Great product fixed my problem

Installed in my fuel line to keep pump from losing prime on my 69 c-10 with carburetor. Working well so for.

I was having some smoking issues with my n54 car (at idle occasionally and even worse in boost). Alot of people delete the flapper valve to run a check valve that will completely seal the high side as the flapper leaks by design. This allows the low side to pull more vacuum on the crankcase at idle/normal driving.
At first I installed a standard PCV between the flapper, and heater element (cut the hose and installed with clamps) to see if sealing the high side would apply more vacuum to the crankcase at idle. That in turn cured my smoking at idle. However the car still smoked under boost/moderate throttle due to the standard PCV valve not flowing enough. I then tried the VTT ball check valve 10AN barb. Still didn’t flow enough.
This unit flows just as well as the flapper valve and fixed my smoking issues at idle, and in boost. Before I installed the unit in line between the flapper and the heater element, I first cut 2 coils off the spring inside (from the smaller tapered end) so the valve will crack open earlier, also ground the threads down almost flat using a bench grinder, then used a propane torch to heat the plastic hose on the flapper to where I could thread the hose onto the unit. Added some small clamps and its a leak free seal.
I still have the flapper valve, but installing this unit bypasses it. The modification costed me only the cost of this unit. Yeah you can get the flapper delete fitting and some AN lines but im more of a function over form guy.
My low side setup is external PCV and plugged head ports. Unsure if this will work with other setups.

I have this inline with a sight glass and regularly I find it did not seal and the sight glass is empty. It seems to hold for a long time when it does seal. It seems to seal more frequently when the system reached higher temperatures.
Overall I am disappointed that it is not more reliable.

Used for a turbo drain line after the scavenge pump. After we shut the car off the oil would come back down the drain line back through the pump and would cause the turbos to leak. This fixed that problem. Doesn’t take much for the check valve to open. You can easily blow into it and it will open up.

Quality is good so far.
