The first thing I noticed, other than the box falling apart, is the rattle. These tubes rattle. For reasons I don’t understand, there is what appears to be a mixing ball in the bottom.
The challenge with opening the tube is your caulking gun’s pin for doing so won’t just punch through. I used a steel punch. You’ll want to use something at least as big around as the hole you cut in the tip.
Next thing I noticed is the I could not install the tip onto the tube before placing the tube into the gun. Fortunately, I was able to thread it on once the tube was in place. After that it’s a matter of using it like any other form of caulk. My use case was protecting welds from a recent rust repair job as well as filling cracks and crevices similar to the factory condition.
I used some cheap paint brushes on which I cut the bristles down by about half. Using the paint brush, I spread and smoothed each bead as well as force it into the seams.
Once dried, the result was good. It was smooth and not at all obnoxious looking. It’s easy to paint over too.
My expectation is that you don’t have many days to use the tube once opened, even with a cap placed over the tip, this type of sealant seems to cure eventually.

This stuff is amazing! I used it in a couple of different applications, one being some rusted spots on the bottom side of my car. After sanding and cleaning the area of where the rust was, I spread some of this with a putty spreader, all over the rusted area. The sealant flowed easily out of the tube. After a couple hours it was tack dry and the next day it was solid, sealing the rusted area beautifully.
I also used it to patch up some rusty holes in the shed. Again it performed very well and I’m definitely super satisfied with this product!

The 5th gen RAM 1500 trucks are notorious for having random leaks where seams or lights were not sealed right or deteriorate in hot climates, so my 2019 RAM 1500 DT Big Horn had a leaks in the front passenger seams and the rear top-of-cab brake light. I used RTV black to seal the light, but for the seams, it was not cost effective to buy several tubes, so I was looking for something like this. The “2 Pack Professional Automotive Seam Sealer, Paintable Quick-Set Polyurethane Auto Body Seam Sealer for Metal Surfaces of Cars, Trucks, Etc,” was just the thing to stop the floor leaks. It works in a standard caulk gun and flows out easily. I used a plastic putty knife to spread the bead flat. It is a top notch solution and worked very well. I let it dry over night, but it was not really tacky after a couple hours. I highly recommend for your ram leak needs.
