These fit well in my f-150. Easy to change out. Sketchy part is still the strut spring compressor, but it made a big difference in the ride quality

Really good shock, only thing is the zing coating that won’t be shiny for to long if you live in Canada with salty winter road. Lot of corrosion after only 1 winter, so protect them. Especially the rear shock.

Buy these for all 4 corners of your F150. Its a mandatory upgrade from the stock non-FX4 suspension. Shame on Ford for not selling them all this way. The OEM (XLT at least) is a hay bale trailer by comparison.
I test drove my 2018 F150 XLT supercrew 6.5 bed on some smooth roads and highway. I was shocked, literally, when I hit my first set of real bumps in the middle of a snow/ice/salt damaged intersection. I spent two weeks thinking I should have got a uni-body Ridgeline or FX4 instead. It couldn’t handle any bumps. I was counting the months till I could trade this thing in.
Then, I got the Bilstien 5100’s installed at all 4 corners. I am writing this review right after my ride home from installation shop. I was skeptical and hoping those rutted intersections would at least be tolerable fro the next few years. I forgot I was driving a truck several times on the way home. Not only could I handle some chop without rattling the bed and cringing my teeth, the truck no longer nose dives or rolls. I feel much more in control all the time. Its not harder than oem factory non-Fx4 4×4 suspension, its firmer at least in the front ( biased opinion because I looked up the damping forces before installing). The suspension is now tracking with the road rather than getting overwhelmed and transferring the forces to my backbone.
My historical perspective(in case your still reading): 4 control arms on a Supra, Independent rear suspension on a Pathfinder, limousine ride quality in a G8. So I’m not a true truck guy. If the higher level trims ( Limited and Platinum) are not coming with the new ride quality these Bilstien 5100s give, those folks are really missing out. I told the installer to do +1 inch or level the front suspension to the rear, since the fronts are adjustable. Idk what they did but I’m satisfied.

Very nice buy them! These are way better than leveling spacers. They are adjustable for ride height, I adjusted to 2″ and never looked back. Looks and performs great got about 1500 miles on them. Install was not for the average Joe you will need a good air compressor with impact and a coil spring compression tool.

Bilstein makes my favorite shocks, I put them on all of my vehicles. They last a long time and provide admirable performance over the long term.

These should come with the truck from ford. Set for 1”!lift and all is good

Phenomenal product! Not surprising for Bilstein, but still, they’re great! I set mine at the 1.75″ setting, and my F150 sits just how I wanted. It has just a very slight rake, but is almost level. Couldn’t be happier. Installation is not easy, but not that difficult either. I would reccomend these to anyone.

I installed front and rear Bilstein 5100 shocks on my 2017 F-150 SCREW. Truck rides much firmer now and the front end take is reduce to a minimal amount. Used the 2.1” setting on the fronts and the truck feels so much higher. Also added 285/80/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers at the same time. Chose not to tackle the fronts on my own and had the local shop that I’ve been going to for 20 years do the job. They are tire and alignment shop mostly, so I felt comfortable with them doing the work even though they have not installed ones like this before. They charged me for 4.5 hours worth of labor. Seems a bit long to me, but I know the job is done right and they gave me a good deal on the new Ridge Grapplers.
All in all I’m very satisfied with the product. Only complaint I have is the the front shocks were shipped to me banded together in their original packaging. The package arrived and both shocks had worn through the box. I inspected them and there was no damage and all parts were there. The seller should have put these into another box to better protect t them in shipping.

Shocks came earlier than expected date and each shock came boxed separately with the OEM Bilstein box inside of a similarly sized brown cardboard box. When opened, the OEM box had holes in it where the shock mount busted through. Looks like the damage occurs at the warehouse prior to shipping as the outer box had zero damage. I mention this only because the mounting hardware floats inside the box and definitely can fall out at the warehouse. Mine had all components inside and (shop) install went smooth. Ride quality and feel is firmer than OEM shock and the 2.1” lift up front really levels out the rake of the truck. I was planning to self install but after calling a local specialty shop and quoted under $300 with alignment for installation it was a “no-brainer”. Very happy with the product and company where purchased.

Disclosure I did not buy mine here but I know people often read reviews here.
Don’t wait a year into owning your new 2015+ F150 like I did when the factory shocks are getting so bad it rides like a dump truck, wallows around, feels darty at freeway speeds and is unstable cornering. Get the rears too. They are ten extra minutes to install while the truck is on the lift to do these front.
I’ve had Bilstein shocks on everything I have owned and don’t know why I waited this long. These are probably the biggest upgrade from factory for anything I have gotten Bilstein though. As soon as you see these best to the factory shock the quality is apparent, these mothers are beefy.
These shocks are extremely comfortable for truck shocks and stiff when they need to be. Cornering confidence is back and better than new.
Should be noted that the lowest setting will not remove factory rake which is what I wanted since my rear blocks are removed. The tallest setting leaves an ever so slight hint of rake.
Lift and a good spring compressor is recommended. Drop the upper control arm, remove brakes, unbolt the away bar and with a second set of hands you should be able to coerce them out and back in without too much drama. You will also need the droop without yanking the brake lines so remove the one bolt holding the clip to the knuckle.
Take pictures of the factory coil over before taking it apart and also look at the directions closely. Don’t do what we did and put the bottom spring bucket back on upside down and have to take it all back apart.
