Great ride quality not easy to install in the rear but well worth it great over the 4600s

I removed the old one, inserted the new one at the top, used a jack on the hitch receiver to raise the truck enough to get the bottom to line up wth the bracket and bolted it down. It was a lot easier than I expected. Ride and handling is greatly improved. Cost was a third less than comparable Ranchos (9000xl). The included directions weren’t very clear, but they really didn’t need to be. The rubber boot is sometimes bunched up and secured with a zip tie. I sprayed some lubricant on the shaft near the boot and just shimmied it down. That way I didn’t have to cut and reattach a zip tie.

They are what one would expect from Bilstein shocks. They are better than OEM, but the ride is fine. Unless you need shocks for extreme use, you’ll be more than satisfied. I’ll continue to buy from Bilstein.

Installed these rear end shocks on my 2015 F350 Dually, Crew Cab, Cab&Chassis. Install was simple and shocks look great. Used a racket strap to hold and adjust compression of shock during installation. The only concern I have is that they only have 4” of contraction into the barrel of the shock. Because I have Timbren Load Supports in the rear end of my truck I am not worried about shocks bottoming out. With the smaller not as firm factory bump stops, shocks bottoming out may occur.

Well made. Have 20,000 kilometers on them and still strong.

These Bilstein shocks are great quality and excellent ride performance once installed I replaced all 4 original shocks on my older truck and it handles like new again

My 2006 Ford F350 6.0 Powerstroke 4X4 truck came with the OEM 2″ front and 4″ rear blocks to raise the truck. It came new that way. I only mention that because these shocks work with that height. I’ve been running the yellow Monroe shocks on my truck for many, many years. I didn’t realize how bad the Monroe shocks were until I installed these shocks. I live miles down a dirt road. The Monroe shocks took the potholes badly. I thought it was just the potholes and my 11,200lb suspension package that made the ride awful. As it turn out, these new shocks take the potholes, dips, bumps really well. I wish I bought these (Bilstein (24-186025) 5100 Series Shock Absorber) years ago. The ride is way better. I’ll get these from now on.

2013 Ford F250 with Camper package (helper springs)
The ride in the truck has always been a bit stiff, I know, it’s a 3/4 ton truck however the back end always had some “jitters” when going over multiple pushed up cracks too close together. The shocks weren’t recovering fast enough between bumps, this would sometimes cause the back-end to drift between bounces, not good in the winter on slippery roads. I need the tires on the ground at all times. One of the two factory shocks wasn’t working the other was sluggish.
I installed these hoping they would tame the “jitters” when going over multiple pushed up cracks in the road and they did fix that but the back-end still hits hard on potholes.
Side note: I installed Firestone air bags (from Amazon) to pull a 5th Wheel trailer and level the back end. Between the air bags and the shocks the ride is great, better than it’s ever been. No more kidneys in a paint shaker effect when going over rough roads.

This set along with the 24-186018’s are amazing on a stock F250. I switched out the stock “ranchos” for these at 1000 miles (yes almost brand new) The difference was night and day. The truck rides so much smoother and softer unloaded which was driving me nuts in a stock config after driving a F150 for years. These shocks smooth out about 70% of the jarring and kicking the truck had stock unloaded. Handling and corning are much improved as well. Installation was fairly straight forward and the quality of the product is great. My only complaint is with Ford… for selling trucks without a proper set of dampers. If I paid 300 bucks for a set surely Ford could put these on at a 1/4 of the price or less and make the truck perform like it should. With the cost of trucks nowadays this should be a gimme. Highly recommended product arrived on time ready to go.

I really like the appearance of these shocks. True to form they were a perfect fit for the rear of my 2008 F250 Super Duty. I changed out both shocks in roughly 25 minutes. I would have given these 5 stars but these are the first shocks I have ever purchased that didn’t include a new bolt for the bottom and a new nut for the top. I re-used my old ones as I didn’t have new ones on hand and the nearest auto parts store is quite a few miles away. They shipped quickly and seem to be priced competitively. These are my first Bilstein shocks.
