I did test this for how it was intended to be used. Everything that came with it, is really good quality. Rest easy, knowing that this mount is solid and the hardware will secure the battery. I wanted this just for the base, because I was going to put an optima battery in a small box. I didn’t want the battery sliding around in the box, so I used this base, and it fit perfectly.
