Installed battery jump post kit on my sailboat to facilitate checking battery charge level and to connect batter booster should there be a need. I use an electrical tester with probes for checking battery level before leaving dock and there is enough metal exposed around caps to make contact with probes without removing caps. That actually works for me because caps are really the weak point on jump post kit. Caps are rather dinky and don’t remain attached. Easy for them to get lost. That might be a concern if mounted in an area exposed to weather. Caps are not water proof (product description does not claim to be either). The rest of the jump kit is robust and well made though and will be perfect for the intended job. I’m very happy with the product. Price was reasonable and it works for my use. The 4 stars on Sturdiness was only due to caps.

I have a 2020 Ridgeline that’s perfect in every way, except batteries…. In 115k I’m on third battery for some reason and it’s so random that can’t figure out. Not a big deal after buying a small battery jump starter to throw in the back, except for where the terminals are. I’m installing this to bring those up too so I don’t have to remove all that plastic if I need to jump start. It only happened a couple of times but the peace of knowing this has those terminal right up top is huge. Something like this will be standard for me moving forward on all cars since the out the batteries way down under junk anymore

this product works very well honestly, you should come with something more safe than plastic caps to cover the terminals but otherwise it worked. It’s purpose for me. I used it to put it in my van so I wouldn’t have to keep on going outside and jumping it. I could just stay inside and it worked well. The bad part is that the terminals would unscrew off once in a while and not have to put them back on.
This created some inconvenience, as I had to periodically check them to ensure they were secure. I considered using some adhesive or tape to keep them in place, but I was worried that it might hinder the connection or damage the terminals over time. Despite this minor issue, the overall performance of the product exceeded my expectations.
It provided a reliable solution for my van’s starting problems, especially during cold mornings. I appreciated the convenience it offered, allowing me to stay warm and comfortable inside while the system did its job. If they could improve on the terminal design, this would be a perfect product for anyone looking to avoid the hassle of traditional jump-starting methods. Overall, I would recommend it to others, keeping in mind the small adjustments that could enhance its capability. this item was a bargain and definitely fit my budget.
