Careful Shopper –
This well-made bracket works well at keeping the battery mounted securely on our 2008 4Runner (8 cyclinder). We have property on a ¼-mile dirt road and this helps the battery to stay in place even with the bumps and holes along the road.
The kit comes with two j-style bolts and the crossbar.
The materials are strong; I’m confident that the finish (powder-coated even!) will add to the product’s longevity. The bracket has a smooth finish which should help retard rust.

I actually used this mounting bracket in a 2005 Subaru Outback. The battery dimensions are similar, so I took a chance. The kit fit and easily secured the battery. The “J” bolts, nuts and the bracket all have a nice black gloss finish that should provide for some resistance to the harsh environment of a FLA battery. I’m using this with an AGM, so hopefully it will be the last bracket I need to buy for this car.
