This switch does exactly what it’s made for—cutting power fast and reliably. The ABS plastic housing feels durable, and the tinned copper studs make for a solid connection. Installation was pretty easy, but the mounting brackets could be a bit sturdier. Works great on a boat and gives peace of mind when parked. For the price, it’s a solid deal that keeps the battery from draining when not in use.

I believe this product was intended for marine use on a boat, however when I saw it, I immediately thought of car stereo for those systems that have high power outputs and require control over the power coming from the batteries and into the stereo. With the power demands getting higher and higher as time goes by with car stereo’s, having a fast disconnect method in the line is a must, and this works perfectly for just that. Its easy to see, easy to use, and supports larger gauge wiring as well. Great product for marine use, or car stereo use, and I am sure there are many other uses as well.
