I was told that my wastegate was not opening I finally put a boost gauge on and realize that when I got on the truck I mean got on it I was pushing 40 pounds of boost no I know it’s not a race truck and a lot of guys go for 40 lb but I didn’t want I just wanted to get back to normal and it did the job it controls the boost and the wastegate it controls the wastegate is what I meant to say so it works fine 32 pounds of boost like the other guy reviewed I think I might even get 34 but that’s all good now I know my wastegate is operating as it should for those who get confused about this stuff I did a lot of research YouTube all that stuff nobody really talks about this thing this one item that controls the wastegate as it states so if you had what they tell you a stuck awake skate spend the money on his part I have an 04.5 Cummings love it 90000 MI

OEM part is about $270 or more, this one almost 1/3 the cost. Fixed the the issue, truck gets full boost now. My 2006 only has 55,000 miles on it and the original part failed, was corroded and wires broken. Hopefully this one lasts longer. FYI, the placement of the turbo and this solenoid must be in a low air pressure zone when driving, I rarely if ever use my truck in snow/salt conditions, but the turbo and solenoid were corroded like it was constantly exposed to a salt environment. I’ll be sure to clean and treat the area with something to prevent corrosion from now on every oil change.

Got this for my 2004 Dodge 2500 Diesel and fixed the issue I had with the waste gate. There are a lot of different ways to fix the CEL but I want a stock reliable truck so my option was to fix it right. getting to it is a bit of challenge as you have to remove all the turbo ducting and such. I went to Harborfrieght bought a correct sized wrench and cut it off so I could turn it in the tight space.

Used to replace original on an 05 2500 with the 5.9l diesel.. Turbo seems to be very happy now and works as it should. Way cheaper than the parts store for the exact same unit..

Arrived sooner than expected. Yay !
Code P0243 was reason for replacement.
Old solinoid was a little difficult to break loose, but it has been in place for 20 years. New one installed easily and working as intended.
If it lasts half as long as the original, it should outlast me . 👍
Only time will tell if it is the value it appears to be! Four stars since I’m yet to see how long it lasts.

Installed on my 06 Cummins. Fixed the P0243 code, but ended up causing P0234. At the price it was worth the gamble, maybe I just got a bad one? Installed another aftermarket wastegate actuator from a different company and no codes.

I can’t believe the price difference on these sensors and not just the dealer cost. This one has been in for months and still working fine and codes disappeared.
