Bought this a month ago and just had it installed and it didn’t work at all! The mechanic tested it and said it was no power coming from it after testing all the other wired that lead to the headlight!

I was very skeptical at first considering the OEM version from BMW is 500+ dollars. The part has more heat sinks than the factory unit and seems to be a bit more sturdy as well. Fixed my low beam issue in about 30 minutes. Probably easier on other cars as I had to remove the fender liner in my 2012 135i. Very happy 👍

Can on time and as described, I ordered 2 units and installed on both sides. Bumper has to be removed so much quicker to do both at the same time. I had both installed in about an hour and they work perfect. Good colour and ignite much quicker than the olds original ones.

While the replacement ballast was sufficient, its voltage is not sufficient to create the OEM headlight color for the Lincoln Town Car’s OEM HID headlights.

Update: 3 years, no problems. Another one ordered for eventual R sided failure.
Update: 2 YEARS AND ITS STILL GOING STRONG. I believe in it so much that I’m replacing the R sided ballast with this as well.

Update: 1 year in and still working.
Replaced bulb and headlight still did not work. I saw it turned on for a split second on startup and knew it was a ballast issue. This fits will and the ballast looks identical to the original while the ignitor looks slightly different.
All in all, price for the quality you get is great. Will be 5 stars if it holds out. Updates to come.

I bought this to replace the factory ballast in my driver’s side headlight assembly. 3 bolts to take the assembly out, and 7 screws to replace the ballast. My light is shining bright again. I will purchase again when the passenger side stops working.
