Amazon lists this cabin air filter as compatible with Ford Fusion 2009 but any Fusions from 2010 and earlier will require a modification to actually access the filter housing and install this filter. That said, this filter did fit.

Arrived early. And, that was after I got an email that my order was somewhat behind on fulfillment. Guess they got caught up and then some. I’d buy it again. A quality filter that’s very fairly priced, imo.

Bought this to replace the cabin air filter in a ford fusion. When I took out the original Ford filter and compared it to this one, I was confused because the airflow indicators on each were pointing in a different direction when the filters are installed in the car. The airflow on most cars including mine goes from top to bottom (you can easily check this by placing a piece of paper in the cabin filter compartment and turn on the car’s fan/AC to see that the paper goes down instead of up).
Also, the carbon side of this ATP filter is the darker side and should be on the bottom of the airflow direction. It should not be the side that initially filters the incoming air from the outside. But according to the airflow indicator on it, that’s what it would have done if installed as directed.
I’m sure the filter will function fine if installed correctly. But I wasted 30 minutes of my time getting confused about which way the filter should be installed due to the incorrect airflow indicator. It should not have been so difficult, but ATP made the installation harder than it should have been because of the bad airflow indicator. I saw another reviewer also ran into the same issue so I presume they’re sending out a lot of filters with the incorrect airflow indicator. If you buy this, just be very careful and don’t assume that the airflow indicator is pointing in the right direction. Maybe they’ll correct the problem, but who knows if you’ll get one that has the correct airflow indicator direction.

The dealer charges $100 to change the cabin air filter. This filter is less than $15 and you can change it yourself in 10 minutes. The filter was easy to install in a 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Instructions are included, and also available on the internet. You can do the job with a flat blade screwdriver (to release the tension cord) and a needle nose pliers (to grab the old filter). As I recall, it took a moment to figure out which side of the filter faced up. The filter fit perfectly, and seems to do a good job of filtering the outside air. Now, if only I could get the wife to stop leaving nearly empty Starbucks latte cups in the car it might smell better.

The filter is really amazing, very sturdy, the build quality seems great.
Unfortunately this does not fit the 2013 Lincoln MKZ 4Cyl 2.0 Turbo This filter is too short, too thick and just not right overall.
I give this 5 stars because I got a filter for my 2011 Jeep GC Overland and it cleaned up the air right away! I wish they had this in the right size for the MKZ.
