These were installed in a 2000 Lexus SC300. This model car uses the weirdest cabin filter arrangement I’ve seen and installation is not intuitively obvious, so I highly recommend finding an installation video if you have not installed one of these before. Under the glovebox you 1) remove two black plastic retainers and tug the trim panel toward you to unclip it, 2) remove two small wing-bolts from a narrow rectangular plate, 3) remove plate, 4) pull element #1 down and out, bending at the hinge toward the center console and 5) fiddle in the filter slot to pull element #2 back toward you, then down, and out, bending at the hinge toward the center console. Installation is the reverse and the two panels each have a tongue and groove to lock against each other and in a groove closest to you in the filter slot.
