We have a restoration shop and use this to protect the paint while we reassemble the vehicle. We have used other floor/carpet coverings but this is the best and holds well but released easily.

Verified buyer, not a competitor! This product is well below marginal. Apparently, you need a NASA engineer with 7 dwarfs to install it. It’s a fantasy! And better yet, WHEN it detaches in transport, its self adhesion to itself, will flail at road speeds and mare the paint job. Only the “ease of removal “ is accurate!

This looks like the stuff that dealers use on brand new vehicles for transport prior to sale.
That car’s exterior needs to be absolutely clean for this to work.
On cars that have bad paint or just a little bit of dirt and grime, this prevents this product from sticking to it.
On brand new cars, this isn’t a problem.
On used vehicles, forget about it.

I own a custom car shop and must protect high dollar paint jobs. This allows me to have a bit more piece of mind when working around the cars.

I used this product to wrap the nose and windshield of a car, which was transported on a UHaul car carrier behind a full-size pick-up truck.
The initial adhesion was okay but only on the windshield glass and the painted steel car panels. It will not adhere to plastic trim, bumpers or any other non-steel surfaces. The adhesion achieved was unfortunately short-lived, as the film shreds and tears away from the air passing over it at highway speeds. Perhaps the worst part was the sticky, white powdery residue it left behind as it tore away from the car panels. I tried to re-wrap it, using fresh film and painters’ tape but didn’t improve the performance of the product. It is insufficiently sticky and much too easily damaged.
If you want to wrap something for storage or transport in an enclosed trailer, I would expect this film to perform much better but it isn’t nearly rugged enough for auto transport on an open trailer.
I wasted my money – I suggest you not repeat my mistake.

This product is closer to cling wrap that you use in your kitchen! If you want something that actually sticks, instead of kind of sticks. You need to look for a different product. This is no where close to what they ship cars with from the factory. It even seams thinner than what you would expect. More like a sandwich bag, not a ziploc style either

The product was easy to install and easily peeled off. I cut the roll in half with a hacksaw and installed below and above the rub rail. Never came off after 10.5 hours of driving. Was worried about the travel cover rubbing the gel coat and it worked better than I could have imagined. Awesome product!
