Did not fix the issue when installed it locked up transfer case put plastic in and like new again check specs on design I would ask

Terrible machine work! Gear doesn’t fit correctly and won’t work. Would give 0 star rating but it’s not an available option.

Didn’t fit my X3. The transmission was in constant 4 wheel drive. I had to order the correct part and socket and change it out a second time.

I do not like posting negative reviews and this one is NOT about the seller (they were great). This seems like a great idea and the gear is machined beautifully. However, like a previous review stated, it just doesn’t work. Regardless of cleaning prior to installation and properly greasing during installation, the gears tend to bind. The OEM motor just can’t handle it. Reluctantly, I’m returning this metal gear and replacing it with another plastic one. Sorry folks, I hope you can get this idea to work.
