Watch the video. Motor had a dead spot. Replaced it. Central vac works like a charm now.

Worked great

It was a good fit but but the rubber gaskets for a good seal.
I found another online the was $30 cheaper and came with all rubber gaskets

Used a volt meter to figure out my motor was bad. Pretty simple to cut and splice in this new motor. We are back to having a whole house vacuum without the likely significant cost of paying for a repair service. Very happy with the result.

When built house 45 years ago installed a central vac system. Was a Sears brand, so was afraid couldn’t find a replacement. But still making the same motor. Now good for another 45 years

This motor was the exact replacement for our old burned out central vac motor. It went in fairly easily and I was amazed that I got it wired up correctly and our central vac is now functioning just like new. How nice to get the vac functioning well for $150 instead of replacement at $650. I don’t expect to have to replace it again since the old motor lasted for 40 years. But I do recommend this for others who need a replacement. And I recommend you have some mechanical aptitude or have a pro do it.

I received the replacement motor on time, as expected. It was packaged very well to preserve the product quality. Assembled the motor and relay/transformer in about 20 minutes, re-mounted the unit and it’s been working as good as new since. The dealer wanted $400 to replace the motor, so I saved about $250 total. Here’s a tip: Take pics of the wiring before disassembly, so you can wire it back up the same way. Can be confusing without pics. I would buy from this supplier again, as it arrived on time, assembled and works with no issues.

Bruce

Worked great for my central vac system. Found the old model and serial number on the existing motor and ordered this one. I was almost going to buy a whole new canister since my existing motor was really loud and could hear it through out the house. I think the bearings in it were shot. But found this one and saved myself a lot of money. Fairly easy to install, make sure you take pictures of the motor before you start pulling it apart so you know where the wires go back. Now I can hardly hear it when we run the vacuum. Plus a lot more suction as well.
