Used it on my sliding aluminum porch screens and found the product works as advertised. At first the strong oily odor and the squeaky sound when of my windows sliders when first applied raised my doubts about the products effectiveness. But by morning the odor was gone, there was no trace of any residue and the sliding panels moved with a silk like feel. Would definitely use again albeit a bit pricy. One full can was used to treat the tracts of 11 floor to ceiling screens.

It’s pretty expensive for a small can. However, a little amount goes a long way. Treated my entire porch sliding aluminum windows and have plenty left. We’ll see how long before another treatment is needed.

This is a badass product. I have had to strongarm my sliding glass door for YEARS to get it to open and closed. I’ve cleaned the track, lubricated it, cleaned it some more all to no avail. A few sprays of Alum-A-Lub and it opens and closes like it’s brand new. My 4 year old granddaughter can open and close it with no problem. This is definitely worth the money.

Great preliminary results with a ~90 year old and neglected music box. Long term effects TBD. My only gripe and a big one given the nature of this product is the lack of a an extender straw. Without one, usage of this product will be very much limited, force the customer to do more work than necessary and probably waste more lube than necessary.
For example, windows on rollers. Rollers are usually hidden and difficult to access. Without an extender straw, removing the window may be necessary. For lift out windows, not a big deal but with a straw, not necessary at all. An extender straw will allow for precision lube with very little waste. Without, there would have been over-spray and clean up involved. Fortunately, I had another of can of lube with an extender straw that fits. A straw that came with a can of compressed air did not.
With a music box, I was able to access all areas with the straw and limit how much I used. Without a straw, I would have had to broadly spray the entire music box, rotate and hope I covered everything. This would also have resulted in using more lube than necessary.
I was tempted to make this a 4 star review given the lack of an extender straw but it wouldn’t be fair to what is otherwise a great product. This is a supplier issue, not a product issue. I might not have mentioned it at all if not for the fact that other Amazon reviewers mention the same issue. This doesn’t appear to be an isolated circumstance.
If you don’t have a straw that will fit, you’ll need one with a 0.085 inch OD. Amazon sells these but be prepared to drop another ~10 bucks since you’ll wind up having to buy multi-packs. Come on Alum-A-Lub, good grief. This is a great product foiled only by the lack of an extender straw, something necessary with a product like this and something virtually every other spray can product of lube, air, cleaners and so on provides.

I collect musical powder boxes that were made in the 30s and 40s. Many of these older pieces run sluggishly, but when I spray the mechanisms with this oil, it makes a huge difference. I also have an antique cylinder music box that dates back to the late 1800s and wasn’t playing like it should when I bought it. Once I sprayed it with Alum-A-Lub and worked with it a bit, the item worked like new. The major advantage of this spray is that it won’t get gummy and create future problems. I recommend this to anyone who collects music boxes. It’s just that good.
