The alternator is working fine, but at first the alternator was not charging my battery for some reason, made my car die but, I read online about making sure you charge your battery fully before changing an alternator and making sure to turn on the car for 10 minutes and letting it cool for 15 minutes and not turning on all electronics at once like the air and the radio and slowly introduce it to the alternator. I never heard anything like that but after I followed the steps it started working. You will hear the alternator cooling down as well the wires inside have to settle so please don’t just put before a long road trip promise it will give out. If you just put it and leave for a long trip with your families turn on and off the car a couple times to be sure.
