This stuff took 3 years of rusty water stains and pulled them out of the marble like it was nothing! Not gonna lie, it smells like sulfur/eggs for a few hours but this stuff works miracles.

This product was recommended to me by the company I hired to fix a faded area on my granite counter top from a rust-removing product. I had purchased a rust remover at the grocery store and squirted it on a paint lid that had rust around the edges. I didn’t think to put it on a plate before applying the product, and when I went to clean it up, the product had bleached out the black coloring in the granite. I hired a restoration company to re-penetrate color back into the counter top, and when the guy heard what I did, he showed me the product they use, the Alpha gel rust remover. He said he has never seen it damage a surface, so I purchased a tube and threw out the product I had used. It works great! I cleaned up my outdoor patio furniture using the gel. As soon as it comes in contact with rust, the gel turns purple (cool chemical reaction). I used it without gloves with no issues. It does have an odor, but once the area is adequately rinsed, it is gone. I imagine this tube will last me years. Glad to have the peace of mind of a product that will not damage other surfaces when used!

Had a large rust stain on my granite door step resulting from a metal sculpture placed there for several years. Did two applications and the rust is gone. I thought the product was pricey, but the tube is a lot larger than I expected and it worked! Saved me from having to buy a new, expensive piece of granite.

This stuff is magical! It instantly removed rust stains on porcelain tile and on marble pavers. I recommend not hesitating to rinse it once it turns purple. I waited about 2 or 3 minutes in one section and it was like rust wasn’t even there. On my tile, some purple remnants remained on the white grout so rinse earlier than you may think. It seems to work in a matter of seconds.

This does not work well on deep rust stains. I’ve tried at least 2 dozen applications and stains are still present. I’m sure it’s good for surface rust but does very little for deep stains

This photo doesn’t look great, but we’re fighting a losing battle against a rust stain coming up from underneath the marble shower curb (ugh). A couple treatments has drastically reduced the size and color of the stain, and we’re hopeful that repeated use can help keep it from getting worse. We have left the gel on for much longer than the recommended five minutes (think hours). The purple should fade with time or possibly a hydrogen peroxide poultice if needed. Worth the money and the stink.
