** UPDATE MARCH 9, 2022: I purchased the same clamps this week and swapped out the previous set. The product was exactly the same as I purchased here in 2015, and the pictures remain perfectly representative of the newly installed set. As for the set from 2015, they held up just fine, even though uncovered in the engine compartment, and through 100,000 miles and two Optima Yellow Tops. (This week’s new clamps install was attributed to the occasion for a third Yellow Top.) Regarding the gold plating, it held up like a champ and never flaked. What I can tell you is that 100,000 miles of driving with the clamps exposed to wind and grit moving through the engine compartment resulted in the gold plating being worn away in places on the negative clamp. In my mind, it was sort of like a low-level sand-blasting (more like dust- and grit-blasting or scouring) as the air moved through the engine compartment and perhaps compressed and moved faster in the tight space back by the negative clamp next to the engine firewall. Finally, here is a tip if you want to purchase somewhere else or just verify the product is legit: go to Summit Racing on the web to purchase or just reassure yourself the product is good and available in more than one place.
I bought same/similar product years ago. At that time it was an Esoteric Audio-stamped product. I loved it then and now, even if it is a commodity design sold under different names and through various outlets. Of particular note is that these are rugged and the gold plating has not flaked even where I have applied tons of torque. Regarding torque, I have heat-treated allen wrenches with extremely tight tolerances, and have practically jumped up and down on the ring screws and the clamp screws to tighten them, and… well, these are just indestructible! On the other hand, they are quite difficult to work with if you need to expand them for any reason. I installed them on an Optima Yellowtop (Group 35) and have StreetWires Inter-Lok 4 AWG Power Rings and Blue and Gray positive and negative 4 AWG power cable for vehicle and audio system power duties. It looks nice and clean.
No, the edges are not as rounded as the photo suggests, but neither are they sharp or crude or burred. They are chamfered ever-so-slightly which, in my opinion, retains the rugged appearance of sharp angles combined with the common sense application of exacting finishing. They are excellent and, at this price, a steal.

These are pretty sweet. Just make sure you get a positive AND a negative. I first received 2 negatives and they won’t fit over the pos post. However, they were quick to swap me out. These seem relatively good and i was able to hook up all my wires without any issues. The ports are kind of smaller than I thought. They step down further inside. However, these are WAY better than the standard crap at the auto parts store and these are not giant clunky ghetto eye sores. I would say these were for sure the best bang for the buck

Looks great, the negative side was too big and I had to cut about an 1/8th of an inch out where it clamps down to get it tight. I had multiple connections on the negative side but the retaining bolt is too short so I attached the other wires at the grounding point. It actually is more functional this way and looks like a cleaner install.
I used these as part of my ground and alternator/battery upgrade. I used the following for my project:

The posts are not able to close tightly enough. To correct the problem a user will have to either shim the battery terminals or grind down the ends that clamp together.
Another issue is the use of hex keyed bolts. I wish there was SAE/Metric models of these that use 1/2″ or 10mm bolts.
The sizes are 5mm, 4mm, and 3mm. However, 3/16 will work for the 5mm, 5/32 will work for the 4mm, but only 3mm works on the smallest hex bolts.

I bought these to replace my old corroded terminals. They’re kinda a different design, I was willing to give them a shot. But they’re too big. Tightened as far as they’d go, they came no where close to a good snug fit. I see others left good reviews, maybe mine was just the oddball defect that slipped by q.c. . Just putting it out there incase anyone else is considering these and wondering how they worked for others.

The top reviews for this product were from years ago, boy have things changed since then. I installed these 18 months ago on a car that is not driven all that often. Battery recently died so I had to remove the clamps. I insert Allen wrench and begin to smoothly loosen nut, and SNAP! I’m no gorilla, and I work a lot on cars, and I know what I’m doing. These are NOT solid brass. Check the pictures, this is cheap pot metal painted with gold paint. Brass is, well, brass colored. Not gray with black flecks. The key word in the description is PLATED. Nothing about these clamps is brass, except the color.
