The foam on the filter is a bit too big so the filter does not want to sit inside the plastic grating piece and instead sits on top of it and kinda of presses against the top cover. It works but the previous one I used sat nicely within the plastic grated insert and was held nicely. I’m hoping at least that the filter does not allow excessive airflow past but it’s hard to tell.

A review of the Air Filter HEPA Replacement Accessories Compatible with Tesla Model 3 2024 2023 2022 2021 Cabin Filter Kit Intake Protector Adapter Exterior HEPA Intake Filter.
I ordered this for my 2021 Tesla model 3. When I opened the frunk and removed the cowling I discovered that my Tesla had no air filter. Not sure if they included it on future models or if it just doesn’t come with an air intake filter. The ductwork was a little dusty, so maybe this filter will help keep it clean.
Super easy to install. Just open your frunk and remove the cowling. To remove the cowling you grab it on the edges and pull up. It will sound like you’re breaking it as it pulls away from the snaps. I pulled it up around the edges in several locations. Once removed, you’ll see the air intake port where the filter goes. Perhaps your model already has a filter. You can then install the filter by inserting it into the port. It has soft foam around the edges to create a seal. To replace the cowling, line it up and tap on it at the snap locations. I used my fist to pound on the cowling at the snap locations. To close my frunk, I used my open hands on either side of the Tesla ornament once the frunk lid is closed, to push it firmly and quickly to make it latch.
It also came with an air freshener to hang on the rearview mirror. I like the filter and would order it again
