Charles –
I bought this capacitor to support the points ignition system on a 1968 camaro. Fit as advertised and inexpensive must have part to keep the points from burning and pitting that can result from unneeded current arching across the heads and reducing their useable lifespan.

This fits my 55 buick 322 cid original engine. I had used ecline condensers from Napa 2x that went bad after 1 year and a thousand miles. Hopefully this Delco lasts longer.

works well.

This cap was a little bigger than I expected, while the value was good for a 4 cylinder condenser. The mounting bracket strap is not tack welded the cap, so it will need to be modified to keep a good ground if you are mounting it to a Halls distributer housing. Once mounted, it gives ok resistance to electromagnetic AM feedback, but its there really to protect the coil transistor that acts like points in the Halls effect coil setup. Its not great, but I didn’t want one from China, so I got this one.

I ordered the right part just wrong set up.
this still worked and works just not how the one I replaced it had fit.
My original was all “one piece” and the fitment or attachment area was loacated at the rear (instead of a 2 piece, side mounted). This was under the coil bracket and also had a “eye” fitting to my coil.
This one is now mounted on the bracket after some minor modifications to the bracket, and changed to an “eye”.
Due to not being able to find an exact replacement, this appears to have replaced the one I had broke upon changing my leaking coil.
