I had the Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly with 2 Pulleys installed by an ASE certified mechanic along with OEM Acura power steering pump. There is a low scratchy, squeak sound coming from the tensioner assembly. It was not loud enough to have it replace. I changed the pully as preventative and now, I am having second thought about being ACDelco instead of going with Acura part. Acura MDX 2007.

I always buy ac delco when I can because of their reputation of being high quality and comparable to OEM equipment. Unfortunately not in this case as upon inspecting the two bearings and their pulleys. The tensioner pulley has a slight wobble in it. It is a very slight wobble and I almost would think it is acceptable as this is the second idler/ tensioner pulley combo I have received with the same amount of play in it. My issue is that the old part I am removing with over 100k miles on it has much LESS play in it than this new ac delco one. But being I returned one for having too much play and now the second has the same play in it I can only assume that this as acceptable in the eyes of their quality control department. Sad, but true I guess…

for now everything is fine

Received a Gates product packed in an AC Delco box, bearing was also not pressed into the pulley perfectly so the pulley wobbled.

Can’t go wrong with AC Delco.

I bought a Gates belt tensioner, which failed a little after a year. I did not want to get the same part, so I ordered this AC Delco version. To my surprise, it was the exact same Gates part I used before, which was bad enough, but also the idler pulley did not spin true!

Fit just fine.

The idler pulley was not the same design as the original so when you tighten the bolt and hub to mount the whole assembly to the motor, the idler pulley would not spend.
I ended up having to use my old pulley with the new tensioner assembly.
