I recently installed this starter on my 1998 Chevrolet S10 and it is operating flawlessly. I would like to advise others that installing a starter on this particular vehicle and perhaps on any GM vehicle with the 2.2 engine is not easy because of accessibility issues. For this reason, I decided to buy this OEM replacement to minimize having to do it again in the near future. Unless you are a committed do-it-yourself’er, it may be best to have it done by an experienced person. The product itself is great.
