Although this does not ‘officially’ fit a Chevy Aveo (2008) according to Amazon or RockAuto – it seems to perfectly fit my Chevy Aveo. Same green sealing o-ring as the original, same retaining strap length, etc. I had originally tried a Stant replacement gas cap when I was getting evap warnings last year, but although it was a very solid cap, the Stant cap actually seized itself onto the filler tube after a few months requiring stabbing a small screwdriver through it to get it off (carefully!). I wanted to be able to fill my gas tank without undue stress, and wanted to go back to something a little more OEM, so this one fit the bill for not too much money, and appears to be a quality part (Made in Germany). Before you buy this, make sure it is the type you need – this one is NOT threaded, it uses 2 triangles to fit and tighten into the filler tube.

Perfect fit, very easy to install on my 2005 Chevy Equinox. Works perfectly, seats / seals better than the aftermarket one that it replaced,which unlike this replacement part the aftermarket part it replaced did not have the ‘cable’ to tether it to the car.

It’s a gas cap that fits my car. I needed one as mine was loose and often came off. This caused my care to turn on a warning light that stayed on for a while after putting my old cap back on. I bought this as a replacement and it fits perfectly and stays on. I expect this one to last longer than my car but if needed I would buy it again.

My check engine light kept coming on and everytime I checked the scanner it would mention something about the emissions so I went to AutoZone and replaced the gas cap because my seal had cracks all around it because it’s a 2006 Pontiac G6 3.5 so I bought a motorad cap put it on and reset the light, and after about 30min of driving the light came back on! 🤦🏽♂️ Hooked up the scanner and same code! So I thought maybe I bought a defective cap so I purchased another brand I believe it was Duralast not sure tho anyway same situation happened again only this time it lasted me about 2-3 days instead of 30min so because of all this annoyingness thats going on I realized that it is because of the cap there isn’t actually anything wrong with the emissions system (thank God!) so after trying 4-5 different aftermarket gas caps from AutoZone or O’Reilly’s! I finally said screw this and ordered a Genuine GM/ AC Delco gas cap and sure enough it fit just like a glove and the check engine light has not been on ever since I installed the original cap! PROBLEM FINALLY SOLVED! THANKS TO THIS ORIGINAL GM/AC Delco gas cap! DO NOT USE AFTERMARKET OTHERWISE THAT LIGHT WILL BE BACK ON IN NO TIME! I wish I just saved my time and money and just used the original one in the first place! Rookie mistake, but HEY WE LIVE AND LEARN AND MOVE ON! most importantly PROBLEM IS SOLVED! 🙏 AMEN! 🙏

I was at the gas station and realized my gas cap wasn’t gripping. It was clicking, but not holding tight.
Now, I own a 2006 Pontiac Torrent (same thing as a Chevy Equinox). I only needed a pair of pliers in order to pull the plastic tether from my car, but the new one just popped in. Very easy removal and replacement. It clicks and feels secure. Very pleased with this purchase.

I was getting an engine light warning on my dash – when they did the diagnostic to get the code it said it was due to my gas cap not sealing and leaking vapors. The cap I had on it was a locking gas cap I bought at an auto parts store last year but it was not OEM. Put this new cap on which is an OEM gas cap (original equipment manufacturer). It took a few days of driving with it, but it solved my problem – no more gas vapor leak and my engine warning light turned off. This gas cap is perfect – Wish I would have just bought this OEM gas cap to begin with!
