So Ordered NEW lock cylinder — ” BUT ” IT COMES WITH “NO” KEY’S !
HOW DO YOU REKEY IT ? So one key will fit doors and ignition ?????
Unhappy Chebby owner !
Parts order came VERY fast and as described ,but now need info to make it work !
I HAVE HAD TROUBLE ” PASSLOCK ” SECURITY SYSTEM 1998 K3500 and thought I’d try and throw some parts at it like the dealers or stealers would.

This tumbler was easy to install, I recommend watching a YouTube video for those DIY’ers to make installation a breeze.

Its a plain cylinder, not coded, you need to take your original cylinder, remove the tumblers, and install them in your new cylinder

This was an exact match for my existing one on a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 with standard transmission. I simply (but carefully) removed the bar from the lock pins, made sure no springs came shooting out, pulled one pin at a time and moved them to the new piece (so my existing key will still work). put the springs back on top of the pins, then put the bar from the old unit on top of the new unit. It works like new again.
