It is hard to find the cabin filter for a 2017 malibu in stock at stores. I’ve usually used a Fram replacement when I find them. I will keep doing so when this filter needs replacing.
Compared to the Fram filter, the AC Delco filter has a slightly less sturdy construction to keep the pleats square in the car’s filter box.
It does fit fine though and works great.

The installation is not really complicated but if you let the glove box to come off after its hanging down you may have some problems getting it back on the track. Note to remove the two screws from where the filter is stored use a 7/32 socket.

Replaced My 2022 Yukon AT4 cabin filter. Was a perfect match. Easy to install yourself. Dealer wanted 125 dollars to replace it. Save yourself the money and do it yourself. Super easy.
