Part came in a genuine GM box. Looked new but wasn’t in plastic. Also didn’t come with an o-ring. Ac was working fine until one day it started blowing hot air. The clutch on my ac compressor wouldn’t come on but wasn’t locked up as I can spin it manually. Changed the relay and no luck. The light was green on the a/c button in the car. Also a pressure was fine. Only thing left to do was to swap this out. Took like 10 min on my ’11 Aveo5 hatch. Didn’t bother changing the o-ring. Ac started working right away. There’s a Schrader valve where the adapter is so you can change it out without having to evacuate your refrigerant. Didn’t lose any refrigerant either. Easy fix. Hope this helps someone.

Worked great to add AC to a 2008 Chevy Aveo. Some of the aveo’s Came from the factory with the evaporator, wiring, fuse, relay already installed. Buy some hoses, condenser, pump and add a switch and you’ve got AC! Well after you charge it that is.
