Part was genuine GM (made in Korea), arrived a day after ordering, was easy to install, and solved the problem of a fan that behaved erratically on auto a/c and wouldn’t respond to manual speed adjustment (2005 Buick LaCrosse). I needed 2, #8 x 3/4″ sheet metal screws to secure the new part after removing the old one by using a chisel to shave off the melted plastic crowns holding it in place.
Price was very good.

Quality part without any issues since installing it but installation was a bear. I installed this on my Buick Allure and it was in a ridiculously hard place to get to. Basically stand on your head with your feet hanging out of the car or up on the headrest like I had to because it started to rain. Technically speaking an easy job to pop out the old one and plug the new one in but wow it was a lot of blindly feeling for where the screw threaded in tight beside the blower fan. I’d recommend gloves, the plastic is sharp on the car but dexterity is also needed for getting the screws back in place. There are a few good videos on YouTube and they’re a great place to start but unless you’ve done one of these before get ready to test your patience!

Product works great, but it does not come with the replacement screws (normally that isn’t a big deal but one of the mounting fasteners is simple a plastic/heat-staked screw head that has to be physically destroyed upon removal of the bad resistor module). This kit does not come with the required wiring harness which is required to connect to the module to the existing vehicle harness.
Even if you had the wires to replace the existing OEM harness, I highly recommend replacing them with the 10-12 AWG equivalent size wire. I used one from another manufacturer that includes it in the kit, but for substantially more cost. The concern, however, is that any lesser wire size/gauge could be contributing to the increased voltage drop (heating) in the old module, which could contribute to it burning out prematurely.

I installed this in a 2005 impala with manual controlls, and it works ad it should.
I was a little confused because the listings on almost every site including the autopsies stores Saud this is for automatic climate control , but this was the exact model number that came factory . I emailed back and forth with several sellers, including this one. They werent sure as well , but was told that I could give it a try and could easily send back.
I read one review of another 06 impala that had the manual control , that it had worked so I figured since it matches my part numbers it would be safe and that the details in description were misleading. It worked great. , and it works in all speeds of the manual controls.
Installation and removal is not as easy, the unit sets very close to firewall, and you really kind have to lay upside down in the seat laid back to work on it. The factory unit is held in by two plastic rivits that you have to take a chisel and wack the heads off to remove old one , the new unit has several mounting points to install a screw.
Screws are not provided , I used a 3/4 inch self tapping screw to install. There really isn’t enough room for a tool but I used a shorty Phillips head to get it in , if I had a he head it would of been a little easier ad I could of used a couple of swivels and extension on a drill driver. Fold back the carpet and padding a little to use the shorty screwdriver, but holding a screw and reaching above your head upside down in a very tight space will be fustrating.
However it will solve your problem.
Testing with a test light you can easily confirm that the resistor is not working or working, test harness going in and going out to blower motor, if you show power going to blower motor from resistor , run some jumper power wire to the blower motor , if it works then the resistor is bad and you will need this replacement.
I have access to a lot of parts places and even searched online, this is the best deal on the part.
I’m giving 4 stars because it labeled ac delco oem original part, however, the part is not, the seller puts it in a box that says oem original part , but the actual part is stickered a different brand and you can tell it’s not oem and Chinese made. It was also in a brien paper lunch bag inside the box instead of the oem packaging. With that being said it still works great. It just peeves me that they are trying to mislabel it, to get better sales. I have pictures that I’ll upload.
For the cheapest way to fix , I would recommend this part , it’s been installed for 4 months without an issue.

Had it in my 2010 Impala LTZ for a few weeks now and it works exactly as it’s supposed to.

Fixed intermittent heater issue with Buick Lacrosse. Dealer wanted much more locally for same part. Ordered and arrived quickly. The original was held in place by a plastic ‘rivet’, which is where they melted the plastic housing to form a head. Drill carefully this head or cut it off, and you will be able to mount this without buying and replacing the entire blower housing as GM would like you to..for big $$. I was able to break off the plastic rivet head use a standard screw to mount this unit and all is now well. The blower would not turn off sometimes, due to this module overheating and sticking on. Replaced with OEM and now all is well.

Easy to install, great value for money, half price of most shops

It had to be modified to fit in an 09impalla ss. And already stopped working. Not an oem part.

I believe that this item is supposed to be advertised as OEM for GM because it is an ACDelco product. The one in my 2006 Impala failed so I replaced it with this one. This one seems to be of better quality than the OEM, upon my first impression. It installed perfectly and the holes lined up correctly. Wire plug harness plugged in, no problem. Now my blower fan works even better than before the module broke. I wonder if I should preemptively replace the fan too because if there is too much resistance in the fan, for some reason, it could be why my original module broke?
UPDATE 3/11/2015 — This module is still working just fine for me!
UPDATE 3/1/2020 — Still functioning perfectly here in all extreme climates.
