I know what you’re thinking because I was thinking the same thing. “Is the $200 ICM really any different than the $20 cheap chinese ICM?”. But after buying multiple cheap ones and then finally breaking down and buying this genuine GM part, I can confidently say that YES, it’s worth it. Save yourself the time and frustration of your car not running right and just get the genuine GM part.

My car was sputtering & stalling out as soon as I replaced this part. I also replaced fuel pressure regulator and some other items to fix and vacuum leaks but my car still ran horribly after installing this part. After I replaced this part with the original, the problem stopped. Still waiting on a refund…

Fit my 1998 Monte Carlo 3.1 Perfect. Took me about 10 minutes to remove the bad one and install this new one. Solved my Engine shut off problem as when it got to Operating Temp The engine control would get hot and stop working. This solved the problem.

I had an Ignition Coil go out in my 01′ Buick, and got on Amazon to find the part, which they have. Since the Coils, and the Control Module are super easy to replace, I decided to get a new Control Module. I simply replaced the 3 coils and the module all at once, so that I wouldn’t have to do the module some time later. Why wait for it to go out, when you can do the whole replacement in one setting instead of two different times. The price of the module and the coils, helped me decide on replacing all the parts all at once. The price listed on here for a genuine part that is made for Buick, is reasonable to me.
It’s always best to use genuine parts for the car you are working on. Sure there are cheaper parts listed on Amazon, but you will be replacing part a lot sooner than the genuine part. You are really not saving money at all by buying the cheaper one.

Fixed my 2003 malibu 3.1 stalling issue. No check engine light but can easily be diagnosed if you see your tachometer jump when having loss of power. I replaced over 6 months ago and still going strong.

I swapped out my ignition coils and ignition control module. This has stopped my car from stalling when it comes up to operating temperature. I’m very pleased wit the quality of the product and quick delivery.
