Same as the factory solenoid…but this one works. If you are having problems with your key getting stuck in the ignition, this may help! Takes about 15 minutes to install. Like the other reviewer wrote, the little screw is reverse threaded (makes no sense, but it is). You need to turn it clockwise to loosen it…and save the screw because you need to reuse it. Anyway, worked like a charm!!

Went to a locksmith and they couldn’t fix my key getting stuck in ignition. Did some research, bought this replacement, my key no longer gets stuck. Fixed my ignition problem!

It did not in any “packaging” (just the envelope) and the sticker was “worn”, so… it make think it was “used”. So I put it in my vehicle and the problem still happened, the solenoid stayed out when it should have contracted.

The screw that holds this in place, at least in a 2014 Camaro RS, has right-hand threads instead of left-hand so keep that in mind when removing your old one. Unfortunately this part did not solve the problem of my key becoming stuck in the ignition as it was due to the park sensor in the gearshift, but I left the replacement part installed anyway and have had no problems with it.
