Replaced a factory original distributor with over 250,000 miles. Also replaced the ignition module. Between the two of them, the truck runs perfectly again.
Just an FYI though. Don’t forget to swap the old oil pump drive into the new distributor. Pull it out, push it into new one. All will be well and good.

After different was to make it work I decided it must be a timing chain. I replaced the timing chain and gears with roller chain but the old ones were like new. So I decided to re install the old distributor with a new module and bing go it works . I should have known as I had the same problem with one a few years ago. Simple CHEAP CHINESE product don’t work.

easy install…just one (1) hot wire and ready to go. works as expected. didn’t really notice increase in performance because my 72′ Olds 350 rocket was already fast enough prior to this distributor.
