Perfect fit and easy install. What more could I want for the price? It holds the door open all the way so there’s less no more hitting my head when grocery shopping or loading up strollers etc. It won’t lift the gate all the way automatically when you “pop the trunk” but as soon as I start to lift, it takes it the rest of the way with little to no effort on my part.

These work perfectly to replace the power liftgate cylinders. 2011 x5 35i. Open and fully support. There are 2 spring pins on the liftgate side of the cylinders, pull those out to release the cylinder, then swing the spring clip to remove the plastic adapter. The wires are connected in the liftgate behind the large panel. 2 screws and 4 tabs hold it on. The wires pull through. The vehicle side attachment is only held on with a spring clip. Installation is a easy as snapping the new ones on.

Trash struts tailgate got stuck when forcing to open tailgate strut broke

What a super EZ improvement to make with one screwdriver you just pry off the clip to remove the old ones and the new ones snap right in. I found it easy to put some thing up to support the hatch. Then I removed each one and snapped the new one in.
