The casting and the hub itself are basically a replica of the original OEM casting, they look the same as the original whereas some other and/or very pricey units use a hub (the part with the wheel studs) which may be more universal and has the same thickness on the entire hat… there is no problem here it is just something I noticed during install. At a fraction of the cost I am not expecting extreme longevity from the bearing itself but 3 to 5 years would be nice, we’ll see… I guess the longevity of this item will also depend on the road conditions where you live. I’m happy, it’s quiet… all’s well.
