I bought a new motor and window regulator for my 1997 maxima. The parts were the correct ones and they were new, but the claim that they were “an exact fit”? not so much. It was slightly annoying when I found the electrical connection coming off the original motor measured 16″ while the new “exact fit” was 12 -1/2″ long. That was still (just barely) long enough. But then the motor mounting holes were were drilled slightly off spec rendering 1 of the 3 mounting positions unusable without modification. After comparing the old and new motors back to back, the discrepancy though slight, was obvious.

Fit fine and works.

Did not fit as well as the Dorman and the metal was very soft and easy to strip. I just hope it will last.

Had to replace a regulator, these are working great 👍

Do not buy this unit. It is *designed* to break after a few opening and closing cycles — guaranteed. Open and close the window at least 25 times and hopefully you will find out the issue before the 1 month product return window closes.
I Replaced both the left and right front window regulators + motors on a 97 Nissan Maxima — it was a perfect fit. It also worked smoothly and quietly for two weeks, probably 3-4 opening and closing cycles. After that the window got stuck at the half way point. The cause is shown in the picture: The cable slips off the nylon spool and wraps around the metal hub, even causing he metal spool bracket to bulge out. The spool is made of soft material and not grooved deep enough to keep the cable wound properly in the the “groove”. Once this happens, the window jams. Given the jam, the window glass holder screw cannot be positioned correctly to the access hole opening on the door frame. Now, you will have a difficult time unscrewing and releasing the glass holders. You will need a ratcheting wrench and lot of patience and difficulty in removing the glass holder screw. The panic that the driver feels as a result of a stuck window in the middle of the trip cannot be overstated: How do I drive back with all the wind? How do I leave the car outside if it rains? Will someone or animals get into the car and vandalize or steal stuff out of the car?
I have ordered AISIN regulators, for a bit more money (not a whole lot more) — supposedly that is what most OEMs use. What a waste of labor and inconvenience with this cheap replacement. My mistake was ignoring another reviewer with the same problem. Please don’t repeat my mistake — stay away from this product. The picture should be worth more than the words that I typed here.
