Bought and installed this power steering pump due to my original leaking. Installed pump and wheel was rock hard. Wasted time and money. Don’t bother buying this. You will just get pissed off like I did.

I can not say anything about longevity. It went on and worked perfectly. When you do this job you have to jack up both wheels off the ground. You will have to turn the wheel all the back and forth and do this about 50 times. This is how you bleed the pump. This is done with key on (but not engine running) If this is not done. YOU….. WILL RUIN THE PUMP INSTANTLY!!! It is not the pumps fault for being defective.
You must use Power steering fluid for Foreign cars. You cant use ATF,!!! Look for Honda, Acura, or whatever foreign car you have . Fluids are important to be correct for your specific vehicle. Buy the good stuff for your car! These pumps are fine, but you must know exactly how to install and prepare before you start the engine and turn the wheels!
You will make a mess of fluid on the floor. When you bleed the system you will see a large bubble evacuated as you turn the wheel back and forth and fluid will sometimes fluid comes flowing out.
