Good value. The whole replacement process took around 10 minutes (9 minutes for removing the old one) and 2 persons. The job could be done alone but it was a lot easier and safer if you have someone hold the hood open and adjust the height for you.

Super easy install. Use small flat head to remove the retainer on the old struts and the new struts just pop in and lock themselves without doing anything

Solved the issue with my hood not staying up on its own.

These are a Chinese made product, naturally, but for the price, they work perfect. They look basically identical to the OEM Japanese version, except that they are not finished quite as nice paint wise, but are identical in every other way.
Take a very small flathead screwdriver and pry at the CENTER of the metal clip that surrounds the ball joint on each end of your existing struts on the hood. It takes a little bit of working, but you’ll get it in less than a minute. The sides of the metal clip basically just “unlatch” on one or both sides of the ball connection. Keep working it until the ball joint on the strut releases and can be pulled straight out away from the ball on the hood connection bracket on the car.
Take the new strut and just simply press it on. No need to mess with the metal clip and try and pry it off. I thought you would have to, but then just decided to press it on and it snaps right in place.
They work and sound just like the OEM stock gas struts (when they were new) on the vehicle. These are worth every penny. They are simple to install and just work and save you a lot of money.
My biggest complaint, I waited years to finally find something to replace the OEM struts. It’s so nice not having to find a stick or something to prop the hood up now.

Just installed, worked well. Turns out I only needed 1, because my other 1 was perfectly fine.
Either way, it worked well.

I ordered these hood lifts for my 2010 Lexus IS 250 as the previous ones were worn and my hood wouldn’t stay up. Called my mechanic to install them and he said I did good bc usually he has to order parts for me. It took him all of 7 mins to install them!

The perfect hood lifts for my 2011 Lexus Is 350 very good product for the price and works better than I thought

These hood shocks fit my 07 IS350 perfectly. I have only had them on for roughly about 3 weeks and they seem to be working accordingly. However I docked one star due to the fact that the clip to remove the hood shock is very difficult to pry open unlike the originals. other than that I am pretty happy.
