This fuel pump was purchased for a 2012 Honda Civic. At the time I purchased the fuel pump there was only one review to reference. At the time that review did not make sense.
The fuel pump came in perfect condition. The reason for the 3 star rating and the headline “Would not purchase again” is the locking ring that holds the fuel pump in the fuel tank.
Something is flawed with the design I feel. I had to sand down the threads of the locking ring in order to get it to secure. The fuel pump is spring loaded so I pushed it down and rotated the locking ring, it would not take ahold. After sanding the threads down and pushing the locking ring down while turning it I heard the locking ring snap into the thread of the fuel tank and it was secured into place.
I feel when buying a part it should work as is and not a trial and error process.
I would pass on buying this given the problems it presented and time wasted altering the product.

idk why but the design of the lock ring is wrong had to use old one. other than that pump works strong.

I bought this part cause my fuel filter was clogged and was burning through fuel really bad. When I installed it, not only did the O ring not fit my tank properly to where it fell in my tank TWICE, but now I’m sitting in a Louisiana Enterprise cause the pump decided to stop pumping fuel completely and caused my car to break down IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!! Do NOT buy aftermarket parts for your Hondas, I know the genuine parts are expensive, but that is because THEY ACTUALLY LAST!!! LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND STEER CLEAR!!!!

I put it in my 2012 honda civic. The big white screen ia not a tank hole size. The solution is , you need to sand thread of screw. I was almost give up but finally put it on.
Let see how long it last.

Works great no need to spend more money for a Delphi or any expensive pump this one works just as good
