Installed this replacement brake master cylinder part, with the reservoir in the back and the 2 brake fluid lines on the left. Using a brake bleeder kit purchased separately, we were able to get all the bubbles out of the front left hole, but the back left hole still had a lot of bubbles. Installed, when we pumped the brake turning the nut on and off with a flare wrench (size 10) the front left leaked fluid letting out any bubbles. But doing the same with the back left nut, only let out small drops of fluid, so we don’t know for sure if there still remains air bubbles in the new replacement brake master cylinder. The only way to find out is if we bleed the brakes taking off each tire. We are doing this on a project vehicle as a do it yourself by watching YouTube videos with limited automotive repair experience. Installed with the help of 2 others, even though the back left brake fluid line didn’t leak air and fluid during the tighten and loosen nut test, we drove the vehicle after installation. Replacing the part did seem to help fix the problem, without bleeding the brakes. Since it is a project car and not a daily driver, we only had time to replace the brake master cylinder and not bleed the brakes yet. For the price, it was worth it, doing it on our own to experience how to do it. If another DIYer tries to do it with this part, make sure this part fits your vehicle. The Amazon product selector said that another brake master cylinder was compatible with my vehicle but it did not have ABS capability. My vehicle has ABS brakes, so instead of chance the other part that was no longer returnable because I kept it for months without noticing the difference (it looks exactly like the genuine part and this replacement part, and there is no indication on either parts that say it has or does not have ABS support.) Best not to rely solely on the Amazon part selector. Know in advance what your vehicle needs are.
