You can tell the difference between these and the name brand. However, They did last longer than expected. If your doing something small, go ahead. If your a pro, spend more and save the return on these

I bought these as an abrasive to smooth a hollow I had cut in a piece of unusually hard wood, an Asian import called acacia wood. But it didn’t work. The wood was simply too hard for this type of abrasive to chew away. However I’m keeping them in my abrasives cabinet to see if they might work in other situations. Smoothing a bowl shaped hollow isn’t something I do very often, but I’m not finished experimenting with this product. But I can say for sure at this point that they are not adequate to smooth very hard, very dry wood.

They might be ok on smooth surfaces, but I am trying to clean in between little corners and they tear up into shreds immediately on any edge or rough surface. Only cleaning paint off of aluminum tanks. Overall not bad value, they are cheap enough. Be aware there are three sizes in this. It’s not three of the same size for each color/grit. There is a small, medium and large, and the small is really small. That aff3cted the overall value for me as there is very little material on the smaller ones.

My husband is building a poker table, which is looking awesome. He needed something he could use for buffing the portions of his table where he has chip holders, chip tray and cup holders. They worked perfectly and I’ll be able to use them when buffing my shelving unit I made.

I have very hard water where I live and even with a Soft Water System toilets, sinks, etc get calcium build up….I use these and also the flat pads all the time for cleaning …this was a re-order…very happy with the product.
