Easy install, easy instructions to program. Took less than a hour. You can watch a 5 minute YouTube video to learn the removal process. Great price too compared to $150 from your local parts store.

this is a good, oem grade quality replacement for when your ignition sticks, locks up ,etc,, like mine. the only problem is i have no clue what to do about the door locks… its a bit impractical & annoying to have to carry two different keys… & i work on cars, so the suggestion of “use the fob” is also unrealistic as when i have the negative discod .. the only option IS the manual key… & at times, some repairs take upwards of a few weeks on an overhaul so having to keep & use 2 separate keys along with every other customer’s keys in the box… is really aggravating.. would be nice if this set took tht into consideration & included the door barrel as well. for an extra couple bucks… id still have gotten it… until then… i have to suggest you to look elsewhere.

I truly recommend this product,I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado and my keys were always getting stuck when trying to turn on my truck,I replaced the ignition switch and that didn’t help,so I bought this cylinder with keys put it on and did the programming of 10mins times 3 and it worked!!! Awesome product!!

Hubby needed to replace the ignition lock on his 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche as it was starting to stick, which kept the Bendix engaged as the motor started. He followed the instructions and it installed pretty easily. Had a little issue getting the keys programmed but that worked out. Review the photos of the instructions to evaluate the process before getting started.

The letters on the directions were small and her to read. Needed to try it a couple of times but then the key’s worked.

The Kiesza is just what I was looking for. I was finding myself needing a new key and it really isn’t that difficult to make one if you believe in yourself. This is a great set and it’s worth to buy if you have confidence in fixing something like this or making a key. I like this kit.

The old key and ignition to our GMC Sierra had seen better days. We were down to one key, and that key often required jiggling, joggling, and jostling before it would be able to turn and start the engine.
I’d even had 3 other keys cut, but none of them would even turn in the lock: the old key is so worn, a new key with nice, sharp edges won’t even turn the ignition (programming had nothing to do with it, because the keys won’t even turn in the the ignition cylinder – except 2 times out of several hundred attempts). Those keys could operate the door locks, just not the ignition.
I saw this replacement cylinder and keys and figured it was time to just replace everything. The process to remove the old cylinder and replace it with the new is pretty simple – in theory. A few parts and pieces need to be removed to access the cylinder area for removal, and that’s straightforward, just some unscrewing and pulling.
The issue came when it was time to insert the new cylinder… While the old cylinder would slide out (or back in) with ease, the new cylinder needed some prodding to go in. I huffed and I puffed I and pushed as hard as I could, over and over, but the cylinder would no go very far in. Finally, it took a block of wood and a hammer to tap tap tappity tap it all the way in.
But once the cylinder was in, the key could not be inserted. We became frustrated with the process, and were going to (hopefully) just go back to the old cylinder. But, with how hard it was to push the new cylinder in, we became concerned if we’d be able to remove it! A pair of locking pliers were clamped onto the new cylinder, and with a mighty grip I pulled. And whaddaya know, the cylinder came out just a very tiny bit, and seated where it’s *supposed* to be seated. Part I success!
Time to program the keys. Following the instructions, placing the old key near the ignition, inserting the metal key, then the new chip key. No luck. Retry. No luck. Retry. No luck. Take the old key, and instead of holding it where instructed, I really stuck it down in there, where (presumably) the sensor is (this was done with the covers around the steering column were still removed). Now use the metal key, remove it, insert the new key, and Part II success!
Proceeded to successfully activated the 2nd key, and then tested both keys to make sure they were good to go. They were!
Reassembled everything, put tools away, and then the truck was going to be driven. Insert a new key, it slides in perfectly. A nice simple twist, no jiggling needed, and…. nothing. No start. Oh no. We grab the second new key, and… YES! Truck starts without issue. “Hmmm, didn’t we program both keys? Yeah, I think so too. Didn’t we test both of them by starting the truck? Yeah, I too think we did.”
Quickly disassemble everything again, and go through the programming process with the key that didn’t work. Success! Both keys are now working, confirmed, verified, golden.
A few weeks later… key turns, no start. Huh? Try again, no start. Go to other key: turn, no start. Grab old ignition cylinder, disassemble, work like a beast to yank old “new” cylinder (remember how tight the fit was to install), reinstall old ignition cylinder, put in key, jiggle wiggle, toggle joggle, no start.
Do not know what the prob is right now. Gave up for now.
At this point, we don’t know what the issue it.

Easy to install. The part fit exactly like the old OEM part. I installed this because my lock was getting loose, and the tumbler did not turn like it used to. Even after I used a lock lubricant the key still would not turn as intended. After installing this I used my Tech 2 to program the keys which took about 5 minutes to do both of the transponder keys. Very easy to do and I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a new lock and key for their 2011 GMC Sierra 1500. I would recommend that if you do not have a Tech 2 to program the transponder keys, get a professional to install it and program them. It will guarantee that the product works perfectly. Super great value for the price and definitely cheaper than the GM dealer that is a fact.
