Meh, for the limited options of short throw shifters out there for this car. Save yourself a couple of bucks and just grab this one. I didn’t care enough to measure the throws before and after but it is definitely shorter. You can always tap it and cut it to make it even shorter.

It was actually 1.5″ shorter than stock. It does feel a bit different tho. I noticed the bottom was straight rather than curved as stock. As far as the 40% reduced throw… Wonder how it was measured. Its shorter, and you can feel it. It is most def noticeable. I like it, I just thought it’d be way shorter, which is what I was looking for.

Not bad, but it doesn’t have the bend that the original shifter has, so 1,3,5 are pretty close to the Climate control unit.

I wish I would have bought this a year ago when I first got my tc. This makes the car feel sportier, somehow.
The fit is near perfect. I only have two gripes about the whole thing,
The ball that the shifter rotates off of is a hair too small. This adds a little play in the action, but its not bad enough to be a problem.
Also there are no instructions included. But the interwebs are very helpful. I found a great DIY on Scionlife.com
Now for the Plus
The kit includes a new press on washer or whatever you call it. You practically have to cut the old one off to get the shifter apart. I didn’t notice the kit had come with a new one until I went to install the bushings.
The bushings raise the cage enough so you can still leave your arm on the console.
If your somewhat mechanically inclined and have some tools (14,12,10mm sockets, assorted screwdrivers, Dremel, common sense) you can probably do this in about an hour
