Got this for my 1930 Ford Model A hot rod. As you can imagine, this car has no such thing as a USB port; so, I ordered this one. We’re in the final stages of the restomod; so, I haven’t installed it as yet. However, I did run some leads from it to a 12 volt power source. Everything worked!
Once it was connected to power, I turned it on and the volt display came on. All of the ports worked. I actually like the little door/flap as I think it’ll help keep the ports clean when not in use. I also like that mounting the unit requires nothing more than drilling a couple of small holes and attaching it with the (included) screws.
All-in-all, I like this unit, its just what I needed, and can hardly wait to get it mounted in the hot rod.

I installed this USB charger with voltmeter in my class-c motorhome. Installation was fairly easy; the most difficult part was to remove the microwave oven to access the electrical wires and the back side of the cabinet where I mounted the devise. I installed it in the surface mount configuration on the side of the OTR microwave cabinet which worked best for my application. The small size makes it very versatile for choosing a location to mount it. The voltmeter gives me a more exact voltage reading of the 12V house battery than the OEM monitor panel. The USB charging ports give me a way to charge electronic devices without needing to run the generator. I haven’t camped with it yet, but I did test the 3 USB ports and everything works as advertised. Very pleased with it so far.

I have a couple of accessories that I run all the time and it was easy to find a permanent spot to set this up so I don’t have to use my cigarette lighter port. The battery meter seems to be accurate but will only turn off if you turn off the unit or connect it to a line that powers with the ignition. Since I run the accessories all the time, I power it to an ignition circuit. It is nice to know that if I wanted to pull my accessories, there is a switch to turn this off and a cover to keep the dust out. Hopefully this will last, but it does seem like good quality and my confidence it high.

Currently I am building out a Dodge Van to house all my camera equipment and my drones. This power port will be mounted on a side bulkhead above a desk where items can easily be recharged on-the-go.
The small size and the small depth of the unit means I don’t need to go very deep as when using a cigarette lighter socket. This is my second of such pods and I can’t really see ever using 12V lighter outlets again. These pods are a much better way to go, and this one actually gives a digital volt readout so you can monitor battery strength as needed.
Easy to install and the cover plate hides the mounting screws nicely. Simple power and ground wiring, nothing overly technical. A great stand alone charging port that will easily get you to stop mounting bulky 12V cigarette lighter ports.

I’ve added this to a 12v battery box I built and it is performing flawlessly. It’s a good 12v accessory for the price. It was easy to install and seems fairly durable.

Used this in my 2021 Bronco Sport to add some hard wired USB ports above the 12v cigarette port in the trunk. It works great, and is nice to have up to 30w PD without needing to pull out an adapter every time.

Both ports always on @5V, and also support PD up to 12v 3A. No boost circuit, so if your battery is 11.9; that’s what will be provided.
No IP rating for waterproof statement. I wouldn’t use this outdoors or anywhere it can be splashed, no gasket on the plastic door.
Supports PD3.0- Programmable Power Supply (PPS) mode, which allows a device to negotiate any supply of 3.3-11 V in 20 mV steps, and up to 4.5 A of current in 50 mA steps.
Powers on at 7V
Powers off at 6.4V
Draws 0.17 Watts when powered on.
Draws 0.05 Watts with power switch off.
No low battery disconnect function.
Draws some power when screen if off- this could kill your battery with parasitic drain if you leave it off for a very long time without charging your battery.
I would wire it in with a 5A switch in to power it if being used with any battery application.
