- Powerful: This relay bypass switch controls the fuel pump independently of the “key on/off” system, Simplifying fuel injection testing
- With Amplification Loop: The 9038A Relay Bypass Switch can be used with a clip-on amplifier probe/lab oscilloscope to monitor current
- Plug and Play: Simple installation, can be installed vertically or horizontally, just plug in the fuel pump relay position to directly control the fuel pump circuit.
- Operating Range: Maximum 20 amps continuous, 30 amps surge (12V), runs all automotive 12V DC motors with the flip of a switch
- Wide Applications: Relay Bypass Switch Kit fits most fuel pumps, cooling fans, window motors, headlight switches, air conditioning compressors and other devices using automotive relays

On of switch does not power circuit. It does affect amp readings however, and must be wired incorrectly internally. Go with brand name

What in the world? I tested one with a volt/ohm meter for switch function. It failed, so I popped it open. They wired it so wrong that there’s no way it CAN work. Wow, just shade-tree garbage. Less than one star, for sure.

Terrible, wired wrong internally. I tested every one of them. No good. Returned.

2 stars is being generous, the wires to measure amperage are very small and I suspect may melt, I’m affraid to even try. I plugged one in and the circuit was powered/activated no matter if switch was on or off. Lesson in ” you get what you pay for.”

Great testing tool.

I wanted to test these with a multimeter before plugging them into anything. To my surprise they were all wired wrong. The switch is supposed to connect pin 30 to pin 87, which it does. So when the switch is off it supposed to disconnect pin 30 and 87. But the switch does not disconnect 30 and 87 because the manufacturer soldered the red current loop wire from pin 30 to pin 87. So pin 30 and 87 are always connected, regardless of which position the switch is in. I just spent an hour opening up each of them and resoldering the wires the correct way. Buyer beware!

As others have said it’s WIRED WRONG, I didn’t open them up but I suspect the amp loop wire is connected across both switch terminals. This makes the switch non-functional. Based on other reviews I tested all of them with my Fluke multimeter. All of them the switch didn’t disconnect the circuit, Plus the 18 g wire, I realized it’s very under- sized for most high current circuits you would use it on, starter, fuel pump etc but thought it would withstand momentary use. It seems like a bunch of these were made wrong and are sold by several sellers on Amazon

Its a must for the solo mechanics or car tinkers out there… nothing like hooking this up to the starter to start the car from the engine hood bay.
